FLVTO not working? The converter is gone
FLVTO.biz no longer works as a converter. When we opened it on October 17, 2026 it showed only "Redirecting..." and then sent the browser to an unrelated advertising domain. The site had already shut out US and UK visitors in August 2021 during the record labels' lawsuit against its operator, and an $83 million US judgment has stood since he abandoned his appeal in 2023.

The lawsuit behind it
In 2018 the major record labels sued Tofig Kurbanov, the Russian operator of FLVTO.biz and its sister site 2conv.com, in federal court in Virginia. The first ruling, in January 2019, dismissed the case because the court found it had no jurisdiction over a foreign operator. The Fourth Circuit reversed that in 2020, and in January 2021 the US Supreme Court declined to hear Kurbanov's petition, so the case went ahead.
In August 2021 FLVTO.biz began telling US visitors "This service is permanently unavailable in United States", and a similar message soon appeared in the UK. Kurbanov's lawyers withdrew, the court entered a default judgment, and the labels were awarded about $83 million in damages plus an injunction. In August 2023 the appeal was dismissed with prejudice before it started; his attorney told TorrentFreak he had "simply ran out of money".
What the domain does now
Our status checker has reached flvto.biz every 10 minutes since October 13, 2026. The server still answers, with a page titled "Redirecting..." whose script forwards the browser to an advertising and traffic-broker domain. There is no converter on it any more. Domains that change hands like this are often used to send visitors to ads, scams or unwanted downloads, so do not click through.
Our checker also cannot validate the site's certificate with an older root store, because it was issued under one of Let's Encrypt's newest roots. That is a technical detail of our check, not a sign the site is coming back.
Quick checks
- If flvto.biz sends you to another site, that is the domain's current behaviour, not a fault on your side. Close the tab.
- Do not allow notifications, install extensions or download players that the destination page offers.
- Sites using the FLVTO name on other domains are not the original service and their owners are not public.

Common questions
Is FLVTO shut down?
As a converter, yes. flvto.biz now forwards visitors to an unrelated advertising domain. It had already blocked the US and UK since August 2021.
Is FLVTO safe to use now?
No. The domain no longer offers its converter and sends you to an ad and traffic domain, which is exactly where unwanted downloads and scams come from.
Is 2conv the same as FLVTO?
They were sister sites run by the same operator and named in the same lawsuit. 2conv.com now serves an unrelated image converter; see our 2conv page.
What does AudioFetcher do differently?
It is a working, ad-free converter with no redirects. Free single videos up to 60 minutes as MP3, M4A, Opus or FLAC, MP4 up to 1080p, with tags, chapters and SponsorBlock removal.
