Mixcloud downloader: Mixcloud to MP3
To download a Mixcloud show or DJ mix as MP3, copy its link, paste it into the box on the AudioFetcher homepage and press Fetch MP3. Free conversions cover shows up to 2 hours, 10 a day per browser, with no ads, no app and no account. Longer mixes and radio shows, up to 12 hours, need a Supporter Pass.
How to download a Mixcloud mix as MP3
AudioFetcher fetches the show on its server and encodes it once to MP3. It works with one show at a time, in any browser.
- 1Copy the show link
Open the show on Mixcloud and copy the address, or use its Share button. The link looks like mixcloud.com/creator/show-name/.
- 2Paste it into the box on the homepage
The same box you use for YouTube. Mixcloud links convert to MP3.
- 3Pick a bitrate
Under More formats & options, choose 320, 256, 192 or 128 kbps. Under Prepare files, Embed cover art puts the show's artwork inside the MP3.
- 4Fetch and save
Press Fetch MP3, then Download. A long mix takes longer to prepare, so keep the tab open. Files are deleted from the server automatically.
Free: 10 Mixcloud shows a day per browser, each up to 2 hours, with no account. Free conversions start with a quick Cloudflare security check. A Supporter Pass allows shows up to 12 hours and removes the daily limit: a $2 Day Pass for 24 hours, $5 for 30 days or $12 for 90 days, each a one-time payment with no subscription. Use only shows you own or have permission to download.
How long can a Mixcloud show be?
- Free: shows up to 2 hours, 10 a day per browser. That covers most DJ mixes and weekly radio shows.
- Supporter Pass: shows up to 12 hours with no daily limit, for festival sets, marathon streams and long radio archives. $2 for a 24-hour Day Pass, $5 for 30 days or $12 for 90 days, one-time.
A long mix takes longer to prepare than a song, so keep the tab open until the download button appears. To split a mix into tracks or cut out a part, use the local Trim Audio tool afterwards.
Mixcloud to MP3 quality
Mixcloud streams shows in a compressed format. AudioFetcher encodes that stream once to MP3: 320 kbps keeps the result as close to the stream as possible, but it can't sound better than what Mixcloud plays. For a long mix on a phone, 192 kbps is a good balance, at about 1.4 MB per minute instead of 2.4 MB. See what 320 kbps can and cannot add.
What can't be converted
- Playlists, profiles and uploads pages: paste one show at a time.
- Live broadcasts: only finished, uploaded shows can be converted.
- Removed or region-blocked shows: these fail with a message.
Questions
Is this Mixcloud downloader free?
Yes. Each browser can convert 10 Mixcloud shows a day for free, each up to 2 hours long, without an account. The count resets at 00:00 UTC.
Can I download a mix longer than 2 hours?
Yes, with a Supporter Pass: shows up to 12 hours, with no daily limit. A $2 Day Pass covers 24 hours if you only need one long set.
Can I get Mixcloud as MP3 at 320 kbps?
Yes, 320 kbps is the default. Mixcloud streams compressed audio, so a 320 kbps file is larger but cannot sound better than the stream. 192 kbps makes a long mix about 40% smaller.
How big is a 2-hour mix as MP3?
About 290 MB at 320 kbps, 170 MB at 192 kbps and 115 MB at 128 kbps.
Can I download a Mixcloud playlist or a whole profile?
No. Paste one show at a time. Playlists, profiles, uploads pages and live broadcasts are not supported.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in the browser. On iPhone, Safari saves the MP3 to Files > Downloads; on Android it goes to the Download folder. For very long mixes, a stable Wi-Fi connection helps.
Why did my Mixcloud link fail?
The link may point to a profile or playlist instead of a show, or the show has been removed. Free shows longer than 2 hours need a Supporter Pass.
Is it safe to use?
AudioFetcher has no ads, pop-ups or redirects, needs no account, app or extension, and deletes converted files automatically. Details: Is AudioFetcher safe?
Is downloading Mixcloud mixes legal?
DJ mixes usually contain other artists' music, so it depends on the show and where you live. Only download your own shows or shows the creator allows you to download.
