Long-form audio

Convert long YouTube videos to MP3

Long videos need more download time, temporary storage, and encoding work than short clips. AudioFetcher Supporter accepts eligible videos up to 12 hours and shows progress through each stage.

Up to 12 hoursAvailable with Supporter access.
Live stagesResolving, downloading, and encoding.
Temporary filesRemoved after the download window.
AudioFetcher shows the active stage and percentage while a conversion runs.

Why long videos take longer

Your connection speed is only one part of the job. AudioFetcher must first resolve the source, download its complete media stream through the server, and encode the final MP3.

A progress stage can pause briefly without the job being stuck. Use the retry action only after an error appears or progress has stopped for an unusually long time.

Long-video questions

Why can a three-hour video be faster than a one-hour video?

Duration is not the only factor. Source format, server response speed, throttling, media size, and the selected bitrate all affect the total time.

What happens to the file on the server?

AudioFetcher keeps completed output only for the short download window needed to deliver it. It is not a permanent file-hosting service.

What should I do if encoding fails?

Retry once. If the failure repeats, use the troubleshooting page and send the exact YouTube URL and visible error so the issue can be reproduced.
